20/03/1841731768first name on monumentburied 25 March 1841. JBE was named after his Grandmother, Sarah Brinkley, who married John Easy of Dunwich, widower, in Hollesley in 1744. JE was born in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire in 1713. In about 1733, he came to Dunwich to work on the estate bought by Sir George Downing of Gamlingay Place. That estate was later bought by Frederick Barne. JE came to Dunwich with others, including a Thomas and a William Easy. All the Easeys of East Suffolk seem to be descended from John, Thomas & William.
