Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My mother-in-law was born in Holland in 1922. Her father was Albert Edward Thomas Jackson. He was a British WWI veteran. In 1927 he deserted his family, and has not been heard of since then. It was thought that he might have gone to Australia. My mother-in-law is in her 91st year now, and my wife is trying to find what happened to her maternal grandfather. This particular grave seems unusual, as it appears to hold the remains of people who passed away over many years, and I wonder if it was a council charity grave.
