Maria Tamlyn Morgan Morgan1871811952 Maria Tamlyn Morgan (nee Maria Tamlyn Irwin) had four other children and moved to Bristol, Westbury on Trym in 1901, to a house built by John Irwin. Herbert, her son served in the First World War, and Maria began purchasing 61 Henleaze Road as an ironmonger's store for him when he returned from the war. Maria and her three daughters, Elsie, Hilda and Nora lived with Herbert and his wife Lily at 61 Henleaze Road in Bristol, until they moved back to Devon,in the early 1920's. Hilda was the only sister who married, but she was frail and had no children. Herbert and Lily had two daughters: Margaret born 9 April 1922 and Nora, born August 25th 1924.They loved to visit their grandmother in Devon. Margaret became a nurse during WW2 and married Alfred Blampied in 1947 and moved to his home in Jersey, Channel Islands. Herbert and Lily moved to Jersey when Herbert retired in the early 1960's. He died in 1970. Nora Morgan, Herbert's sister, the last remaining child of Maria, lived with Margaret for about 10 years until her death in 1975. Nora was a gifted musician, beginning to learn the piano in her early 20's. She gained her LRAM and taught music in Swimbridge and Landkey where she lived with her mother Maria and her sister, Elsie. Maria had lost her husband and two youngest daughters in a short time in 1900-1901. She raised and supported her family until her death in 1952.
