90GerrisonJames Gerrison1749461795id: p284597362091James GERRISON was baptised as James Marjerison on 10 July 1747 at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Old Brampton near Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was the son of a slater James Marjerison (bef1708-1778) and his wife Mary nee NEWTON (1710-bef1761) of Old Brampton. By the time of his marriage in 1770, James was resident in Ashover, Derbyshire. James Gerison married Lydia TURNER on 17 September 1770 at St Giles in Matlock, Derbyshire. James died on 21 June 1795, and was buried on 23 June 1795 at All Saint Church in Ashover. His burial record names him as James Jerrison who was aged 46.
Lydia Gerrison1745691814 Lydia TURNER was baptised on 15 March 1747 at St Giles Church in Matlock, Derbyshire, the daughter of William Turner. James Gerison married Lydia TURNER on 17 September 1770 at St Giles in Matlock, Derbyshire. Lydia died on 20 August 1814 in Ashover and was buried on 23 August 1814 at All Saint Church in Ashover. Her burial record names her as Lydia Jerrison of Ashover Hill Left of the Headstone. Presumably her grave was to the left of the Gerrison headstone.
