Miecislas Kamienski1859 Polish volunteer in the French army; killed at the battle of Magenta during the Italian Campaign of Napoléon III. He was a friend of the composer Franz Liszt; whom he met through his aunt; Carolyne de Sayn-Wittgenstein. Miecislas' dying head is portrayed on a separate cushion behind the main monument.
