Why are there not more records for gravestones from some cemeteries after 1901?

Because of the huge scale of the project, it was decided that for the initial stage only grave monuments for people born before 1901 would be photographed and indexed. Now all legible monuments within a cemetery are photographed and then indexed.

The scope of the project has now been extended to accept all legible grave monuments.
