Clara Jane Tong- nee Potter

I am looking for the parents of Clare Jane Tong[wife of James 1808-1888] who is thought to be the sister of my great great grandfather Ephraim Potter. These siblings were born in Headcorn. It has so far been impossible for us in New Zealand to uncover their parentage. Any clues would be much appreciated.
