EDMUNDSGrave 334106The relationships deduced are not correct. Thomas (1847-1864) was the son of Elizabeth (c1820-1895) and Thomas (1812-1848). This Thomas was a brother of Anne (1820-1860) and both were children of Thomas (1786-1853), the Lay Choral.

YARROWCharles Yarrow - date of deathDate of death on this site for Charles Yarrow is given as 1852. This may be for the son, Charles Yarrow. Freereg.org.uk gives the DoD as 1834 and an age of 75. This gives a DOB of 1759, more in line with the wife's DOB of 1761. Source info on ancestry.com gives the DoD of the son as 1852, age 48 - buried in the same location/cemetery as the father.

SLOOMANGravestone of George and Nancy SloomanThank you for this beautifully clear image which confirms an identification for Nancy Slooman. Nancy's maiden name was Courtney, as shown in the Ilfracombe marriage register for 1798. I have plenty of information on the Courtney family of Ilfracombe although I have not been able to pinpoint definite details about George.

PRICESmith Great to see a picture of the headstone showing the dates of Minnie Jane and George Smith, brother and sister and also their father John. Confirmed that John did live to be 93 years and George 103 years. Most unusual for this period.

BACONThe missing BaconThank you so much for photographing these gravestones. Until I saw what you had written I was unsure whether or not I had the correct family.
